Amaroo Whales July 27
It's hard to truly describe the amazing experience we had with this young whale today. The Amaroo headed out towards the "whale highway" and before long the whale was swimming towards the boat, staying close to the surface. We were treated to some tail slaps, several extended spy hops, belly rolls and one spectacular breach. At one stage the whale was skimming the surface with his mouth open and we could see a trail of plankton on the surface - no doubt he was hungry.
